Modifying Patient / Study Data

At times it may be necessary to modify study data after transmission of a study to OnePacs. For example, if the patient accession number changes, it may be desirable to update the accession number of the study on the OnePacs system, or update the “Study Description” for an examination. Allowing data updates is configurable by facility.

Requirements:

  • The user must have the “Modify patient/study/series data” permission
  • The facility must be configured to allow such modifications.

If you are unable to move studies for your organization check these two settings or contact the administrator for your group.

To update patient or study data right click on the case that you would like to update on the worklist. A context menu will show. Select Study Management → Modify patient/study data.

The facility must be configured to allow updates on data. A form will open where data can be modified. Enter in the new data and press save. Click the move button instead to instead move the study to a different patient. (See below)

Note that only some patient attributes are modifiable via this method.  Please see the study move feature to change patient last name ID or date of birth.

Manage study

At times it may be necessary to modify associated study data.   The manage study option allows certain users to enter study types or to change a report template without locking the study or using the report editor.

Requirements:

  • The user must have the “Modify patient/study/series data” permission
  • The user must be able to enter a report or draft of a report.

To manage a study use the study context menu on the worklist and click on the Manage study option.

Use the following form to add or modify study types.   If a report has been completed, you will also have the option to change the selected reporting template.  Click save to save the changes.
